AlignandPull were in attendance, VIP’s no less and found the day very useful, meeting with business people about real world issues, challenging and developing our own insights and knowledge. Understanding and keeping pace with the cutting edge, the zeitgeist around the rapid change on how brands are and should be to succeed.

It was amazing to listen to business’s that had applied the methodology and experienced excellent outcomes of growth, staff retention value, and recognition. The idea that a company needs to become media to move forward. That leaders needs to inspire, motivate and take their workforce with them. That a business needs to have a genuine ‘why’ pleased us as we push for our clients to do this. The need to be connected on social media, inspire, be genuine and engage opposed to just advertising. Helping clients to visualise issues and solutions around how business is not keeping pace with the changes in styles of communication and innovation in the modern world.

Brand and branding. Some great speakers on the subject, who have been through it and fought on the front line got cuts and bruises from there mistakes opposed to theorist consultants. You have to get your hands dirty and totally immerse to understand. We get lots of invitations to speaker events; this one was a yes as it has real world substance in a world of faux celebrity.

You can focus on the real clients that value what you do, deliver and produce.

Influence = Engagement X Reach exponentially. It’s crucial to becoming a highly valued, highly paid ‘Key Person of Influence’ in your industry and building a business you love, and one you are you’re proud of.

Julia Langkraehr

Julia Langkraehr is a successful entrepreneur who built three multi-million pound retail businesses in three European countries and is now a strategic coach. She moved to London in 1999 where she founded and built Retail Profile Europe, which specialises in developing new revenue streams for shopping centres and working with start-up retailers. The business merged with its largest competitor, Space and People PLC and has offices in London, Glasgow, Hamburg, Moscow and Delhi. Its turnover exceeds £30 million. In 2014 she successfully exited and founded Bold Clarity which provides facilitation, coaching and training to entrepreneurs, CEOs, their leadership teams and peer groups. It works with companies which turn over £2-50 million to help them grow their business.

Lucy McCarraher

Lucy’s been a magazine and book editor and publisher, a print and onscreen journalist; a writers’ agent and editor for Methuen; a TV writer, script-editor and producer. She has delivered training events to companies such as Microsoft, Virgin, Lloyds TSB, BP, HSBC and Barclays, as well as many public sector organisations and SMEs. Lucy is the author of 10 books and has more than 20 years experience in publishing, editing and writing (having started her first publishing company at university). Lucy is the Managing Editor of Rethink Press and Commissioning Editor of Bookshaker – which have published over 350 books in the last 10 years. She has a post-graduate diploma (DTLLS) in teaching Creative Writing and Literacy and is an experienced and sought-after writing coach and trainer.
